Professing Christians that play in rock bands (sometimes called Christian rock) never seem to prove my premise wrong; that rock music is not of the Lord nor is it for the Lord. Satan's objective has and will always be to seduce Christians by altering the Word of GOD.

Some Christian rock artists start out with good intentions but in due time pay homage to Satan such as the band to the right, Fly Leaf. I get e-mails all the time from folks telling me that I am wrong and that ALL these artists are out there sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I beg to differ though. I was doing some research on this band to learn that they play for MTV and that they even sang a song by Nirvana called Smells like teen spirit. I don't see any discipleship, contending for the faith, Gospel sharing, or Word of God being magnified but I do see a lot of credence being paid to secular satanic rock groups! So time and time again we hear this "oh they are preaching the Gospel" but I don't hear any Gospel. I see them imitating the world by appearing on MTV, BET, Ozzfest, and the family values tour. The truth is that there is no Gospel sharing in Christian Rock at Ozzfest or on MTV. The messages in most of the songs you hear are extremely shallow at BEST!!!!!!!

It's obvious that Brandon Rike from Dead Poetic has no sense of the scriptures. How can you read the New testament and come up with this garbage? Trust me you can't! Jesus told the disciples to go PREACH the Gospel not to go live and let people see (not to say that you shouldn't live a Godly life) your example only. As Christians we must be separate from the world to show them right and wrong but we are also to live Godly in Christ Jesus and Preach the Gospel to them that believe not. You cant have one with out the other.

Now we see that it's from bands like Marilyn Manson The fact that Manson has the photo in his CD, "Antichrist Superstar" of two of his band members drinking his urine through a straw while he is urinating should be enough to repulse people. If anyone endorses that or thinks that's "cool" then they are mentally disturbed. SOURCE

Although Christian and embraced by the Christian community--Pillar is playing the Alive Festival this summer and they're up for three Gospel Music Association (GMA) Dove awards this year, including Rock Album of the Year for "Where Do We Go From Here?"--the group has been gaining success in the mainstream as well, playing with big-name bands like Korn and Sevendust. Their video "Bring Me Down" has been featured on MTV2 and Fuse. "People can call us what they want to call us," says Beckley. "[But] the term Christian band is a stupid tag. Instead of calling out these grotesque bands like Manson, NIN, White Zombie, and so forth Christian rockers praise them and call it a success to be recognized alongside them in mainstream forums like Ozzfest and the Family values tour which has nothing to do with families.
