Why I believe the Bible to be the true Word of God.
Avery brief but powerful tid bit of information that proves the bible to be true.
1. The unity of the Bible alone can stand up in any court. It was written by 40 different men inspired by the Lord over a period of 1,600 years. Most of these men never knew each other nor did they live in the same area of the world, but yet all the books fit perfectly together with NO contradictions.
2. The historical accuracey of it is amazing to say the least. The Bible mentions the Hittite people long before archeologists ever discovered them.
3. The indestructibility of it. the Bible has been and always will be the most hated book on earth because it condemns mankind and places him in need of a savior. Man likes to try and save himself.
4. The scientific accuracey of it. Job knew more scientific facts than scientists did just 100 years ago.
5. The frankness of it. The Bible does not try to cover up the flaws of man. If man were to write the book alone from God he wouldn't include how depraved we are.
6. No other religious book has prophesy. The book of Mormon states in Alma 7:10 that Jesus would be born at Jerusalem. The Bible states in Micah 5:2 that He would be born in Bethlehem, where He was actually born; thus proving the book of Mormon to be false and containing ZERO prophesies.
7. Absolute truth, 2+2=4 yesterday, today, and forever; thus proving absolute truth does exist: The Old testament has many prophesies concerning the Lord Jesus Christ, some argue up to 300. Let's just take 48 prophesies about Jesus that are as plain as day and can not be debated, found in the Old testament. What are the odds of one Man fulfilling all 48 of these prophesies which were written 400 years before his birth? 1 CHANCE IN 10 TO THE 157TH POWER. That's One with one hundred and fifty-seven zeros after it. Do you know what the odds are that gravity will fail? For example I stand on top of the Seattle Space Needle and throw a basketball over the edge and instead of crashing through some ones car it just goes straight up in the air and floats. The odds of that happening are 1 chance in 10 to the 110th power!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Odds are better that gravity will fail you then the Bible not being the truly inspired Word of God!! I will stick with the Bible any day, keep in mind we only included 48 prophesies that were fulfilled. Scientists say that 1 chance in 10 to the 125th power is absolute!
The best part, is that this information isn't even worthy enough to call it the tip of the iceberg in regards to the evidence out there that proves God to be true and every man a liar.
